# Invite users and choose their role

Invite colleagues, give each the right role, and deactivate or remove users.

## Invite a colleague

1. Go to **Settings** > **Users** and click **Invite teammate**. The dialog **Invite user** opens: "Give someone access to this account."
2. Fill in **Name** and **Email**, and if you like **Phone** and **Comments** (the comments are added to the invitation email).
3. Choose a **Role**.
4. Click **Send invite**. You see "The invitation has been sent."

The invitation is valid for four days. Your colleague creates a login, or logs in if they already have one, and is added to your account. Pending invitations can be resent, changed or deleted.

## Roles

- **Owner**: can do everything, including billing. Each account has one owner.
- **Admin**: can do everything except billing: account settings, users, campaigns, integrations and leads.
- **Manager**: can create, edit, publish and delete campaigns, and work with integrations, leads, emails, files and dashboards. Can't change account settings or users.
- **Analyst**: can see campaigns, leads and statistics, and make reports and dashboards, but can't change campaigns.
- **Support**: like Analyst, but can also edit leads, for example to help a customer.

## The list of users

The **Users** page lists everyone with access to the account, with their **Name**, **Email**, **Roles**, **Status**, **Last login** and **Creation date**. The status is **Active**, **Inactive** (deactivated) or **Pending** (invited, but not yet joined). Use **Search by name…**, **Search by email…** and the **Status** and **Roles** filters to find someone.

## Change, deactivate or remove a user

In the list of users, open the user's **Actions** menu:

- **Edit** opens **Edit user**, where you change the **Role**.
- **Deactivate** blocks their access to this account for now, and **Activate** gives it back.
- **Delete** takes them off the account for good. Confirm with **Remove User**.

For a pending invitation, the menu has **Edit**, **Resend invitation** and **Delete** (**Delete Invitation**).

You need the Owner or Admin role to invite and manage users.

## How many users can I have?

The number of users depends on your plan. You can add more with the **Extra user** add-on. During the trial you can invite a few colleagues. When you reach the limit, the **Invite teammate** button is locked.

## For agencies: access to client accounts

In an agency account, the **Users** list has a **Clients** column. Click **Show clients** to see which client accounts a user can open. When you edit a user, add client accounts with **Select an available account** and choose the role they get there with **Assign role to account**. **Remove account** takes the access away.
