When something doesn't work, Rex looks at your real data and settings instead of guessing. Here is what Rex can check.
Is my campaign ready to go live?
- Open the campaign in the editor.
- Ask Rex: "Is the campaign ready to go live?"
- Rex opens and runs the Campaign health check.
- Ask "Are there any errors?" to get the editor's errors and warnings as a numbered list.
- Ask Rex to take you to an error, for example "Go to error 2". Rex opens the element's panel at the right field.
Rex can't fix errors itself, but it shows you exactly where to fix them. If you see an error on screen that Rex doesn't list, paste the text: Rex trusts what you see. See Editor errors and the health check.
The campaign doesn't show on my website
Ask Rex in the editor: "Is the embed script installed on example.com?" Rex opens your page in a real browser and checks whether the script is there and actually runs.
- The script is missing: Rex gives you the right script and tells you where it goes. See Embed a campaign on your website.
- The script is there but doesn't run: often your website's cookie consent tool blocks it until the visitor accepts. Rex tells you so.
- Your website blocks scripts from other sites: Rex can check your website's security settings and tell you if they block Scratcher. Your web developer can then allow it.
- It runs but you can't see it: something on your website may sit on top of the campaign. Rex explains what to ask your web developer.
My popup isn't showing
Ask "Why is my popup not showing?" in the popup's editor. Rex looks at:
- whether the campaign is published,
- the triggers (delay, exit intent, scroll, click trigger),
- the allowed domains and page targeting rules,
- the devices it is hidden on,
- the show count per visitor,
- your account's Popups per session and delay between popups,
- whether the script runs on your website.
Good to know: exit intent only works on desktop, when the mouse leaves the page.
Nobody wins a prize
Ask "Why is nobody winning the main prize?" Rex checks:
- how many of the prize are left (when none are left, nobody can win it),
- the real won, redeemed and expired numbers,
- the win chance and the total of all prizes on the game,
- prize add-ons that change the win chance or quantity over time.
Double opt-in emails aren't sent
Rex checks both things double opt-in needs: the Double opt-in add-on on the form, and a double opt-in email. It tells you which one is missing. See Double opt-in.
People can play more than allowed
Rex checks your participation limits and whether the form collects something unique, such as an email or phone number. Without it, a limit can't recognise people who play again.
Leads don't reach my email tool or CRM
Rex checks which integrations are connected and active, and which fields you can map. On the Delivery status page, ask Rex to show the failed deliveries. The reason a delivery failed shows when you hover over its Failed status. If everything looks right and leads still don't arrive, Rex brings in our team. See How integrations work.
My channel numbers look wrong
Rex reads the real participants and leads per channel. Good to know: a channel counts the first visit, and the preview never counts, so test with the live link.
Something is off after copying a campaign
Ask "Are there any errors?" Rex checks the editor's errors first.
When Rex can't find the cause
If nothing explains what you see, Rex says it looks like a bug instead of guessing, and offers to connect you with our team. See What Rex can't do, and when it brings in our team.
