Sign an agreement online # Sign an agreement online Read and sign an agreement from Scratcher in your browser, add your invoicing details, download the signed PDF and check that a copy is the original. On Enterprise and agency plans, or when you agree on a plan with our team, we send you the agreement to sign online. You don't need a Scratcher login to sign. ## Sign the agreement 1. Open the email "… has sent you an agreement to sign" and click **Review and sign**. The link is personal, so don't forward the email. The page shows until when the offer is valid. 2. Read the agreement. If it has **Appendices**, open each one: they are "Part of the agreement. Read it before you sign." 3. Click **Go to signing**, or scroll down to **Sign the agreement**. 4. Type your **Full name**. 5. Under **Signature**, draw your signature with your mouse, finger or pen. Or tick **Use my typed name as signature**. Click **Clear** to start over. 6. Fill in the **Invoicing details**: the **Invoice contact**, the **Invoice email** where invoices should go and, if your organisation uses one, the **EAN number**. 7. Read **Electronic records and signatures**, and tick the box to confirm that you have read the agreement and are allowed to sign for your company. 8. Click **Sign agreement**. If something is missing, the page says "The agreement was not signed. Correct the following:" with what to fix. ## After signing When everyone has signed, the page says **The agreement has been signed**, and we email a copy of the signed agreement as a PDF to you. It includes a record of how and when it was signed. Click **Download the signed agreement (PDF)** to save it from the page too. Keep the PDF for your records. Under **Signatures**, you see who has signed for each party, and **Waiting for your signature** until you have signed. ## If the link doesn't work - **This offer has expired**: ask the sender to send you a new agreement. - **This agreement has been voided**: it can no longer be signed. Contact the sender if you have questions. ## Check that a PDF is the original Each signed agreement has a **Document ID** and a document hash. To check a PDF you have received: 1. Open the verification link, or scan the QR code, in the signed PDF. The page **Verify a signed agreement** shows when it was signed by all parties. 2. Under **Check your PDF**, click **Choose PDF** and pick the file. 3. The page tells you if "This is the original signed agreement. It has not been changed." or if the file may have been changed. The PDF is checked in your browser and is not uploaded. ## Good to know - You sign with a simple electronic signature, which binds your company like a handwritten one. - You can ask for a paper copy free of charge, using the contact details in **Electronic records and signatures**. - Read how we handle personal data under **Privacy policy** on the signing page.
