Your work is saved as you go
Every change is saved within a second. While saving, Rex's speech bubble says "Saving..." and then "Everything is saved!". If you try to leave while something is still saving, the editor asks you to wait.
On a live campaign, saved changes only reach players when you click Update.
If you are away
After two minutes without using the mouse or keyboard, the editor dims and asks you to move the mouse to continue. After ten minutes, you are taken back to the front page, so the campaign is free for colleagues to edit. Your work is saved.
A new version of Scratcher
When we release an update, the editor may show Version Update Available. Make sure your changes are saved and click Refresh now.
Editing on a phone
On small screens, you can't use the full editor. You can still change the Start date and End date, turn on Always on, publish, update, pause, stop or reactivate the campaign, and copy its links.
Things the editor doesn't do
- There is no version history. Copy the campaign first if you want to keep a version before big changes. See Organise, copy and delete campaigns.
- You can't copy elements from one campaign to another. Save a page as a template instead. See Save and reuse templates.
- Only one person can edit a campaign at a time.
