Plan in the top bar is your marketing calendar. Your campaigns show up on it automatically, and you add other activities yourself, such as "Black Week", "Summer sale" or "Newsletter with Christmas offer". The page title shows how many items the calendar has, for example Activities (12).
Add an activity
- Click Plan in the top bar.
- Click Create activity. If the calendar is empty, you can also click Add your first activity.
- In Add activity, fill in:
- Name: for example "Black Week". This field is required.
- Notes: anything your team should know, such as the idea, the audience or the budget.
- Always on: turn it on for an activity without an end date.
- Start date: the first day.
- End date: the last day. It must be after the start date. This field is hidden when Always on is on.
- Click Add activity. The activity appears in the list and on the timeline.
Read the calendar
The page has a list on the left and a timeline on the right (on a phone you only see the list).
- Each item has an icon that tells you if it is a Campaign or an Event (an activity you added yourself).
- Below the name you see its dates, Always on, or Draft for a campaign that has no dates yet.
- On the timeline, each item is a bar. Campaigns are colored by status: Draft, Published, Paused or Ended. Your own activities have one color of their own.
- Hover over a bar to see the name and dates. A bar that is running shows how many days are left, for example "5 days left".
Change the view
- Choose Week, Month or Year. The calendar opens in the year view.
- Use Previous period and Next period (the arrows) to move back and forward in time. The period you are looking at is shown between them.
- Only items that fall in the period you are looking at are shown.
Search and filter
- Type in the search field to find an activity or a campaign by name (Search by activity… or Search by campaign name…).
- Use the status tabs, All, Draft, Published, Paused and Ended, to see only campaigns with that status. Each tab shows how many items it has.
- If you are an agency, use By client to see the plan of one of your clients.
On a small screen, these settings are under Filters: Status, Client, Period and Date.
You can also ask Rex, for example "Show me the plan for March" or "Only show paused campaigns".
Edit, copy or delete an activity
Click an activity in the list to open Update activity. Change what you need and click Save.
Or open the activity's menu (Activity actions, the three dots):
- Edit activity: opens Update activity.
- Duplicate activity: makes a copy with " - Copy" after the name, for example to repeat an activity next year. Open the copy and change its dates.
- Delete activity: asks "Are you sure you want to delete this activity?" Click Delete to confirm. You can also click Delete in Update activity. Deleting can't be undone.
Turn an activity into a campaign
When it's time to build the campaign for an activity:
- Open the activity's menu and click Create campaign, or Create popup for a popup.
- Choose a template and create the campaign as usual. See Create a campaign from a template.
The new campaign is linked to the activity:
- It gets the activity's start and end date.
- The activity's notes are added to the campaign as a note, so your team can read them in the editor (logo menu > Notes).
- In the calendar, the campaign now takes the activity's place, and its bar shows the campaign's status.
Open a campaign from the calendar
Click a campaign in the list to open it in the editor. Its menu (Campaign actions) has Dashboard and Edit campaign.
Let AI suggest a plan
Click Generate plan and tell AI about your Business area and Sales channel. Choose the Period (Whole year, a Quarter such as Q1 (Jan – Mar), or a Specific month), the Number of activities and the Language. AI suggests a list of activities. Remove the ones you don't want with Remove activity, then add the rest to your calendar. Generating a plan uses AI tokens. See Generate a campaign plan with AI.
Good to know
- The Plan calendar is part of the Basic plan and up.
- Activities are for planning only. Players never see them, and an activity doesn't start or stop anything by itself. Your campaign's own start and end date decide when it is live. See Publish, schedule, pause and end a campaign.
- Everyone on your account sees the same plan.
