Finish conditions, timer and points in skill games

Decide when a skill game ends and what each score wins: points goals, time limits, attempts and conditions.

Skill games end when players reach a goal, run out of time or use up their attempts. These shared settings decide what happens.

Points

In the Points section of the Settings tab:

  • Goal: the points needed to win.
  • Points placeholder format: how many digits the score shows, for example 0000.
  • Finish game when reaching goal: end the game as soon as the goal is reached, instead of when the time runs out.

Clicks (Tap It)

Goal is the number of taps, with Click placeholder format and Finish game when reaching goal.

Timer

Turn on the Timer and set:

  • Show type: Elapsed time (counts up) or Remaining time (counts down).
  • Time: how long the game lasts.
  • Show minutes and Show tenths of seconds.

Attempts (Memory and Puzzle)

Turn on Max attempts to limit how many moves players have.

Finish conditions

The add-on Finish conditions (in Drop, Hit the Target, Smash It, Match Matrix and Bubble Shooter) gives different results for different scores:

  1. Turn on the add-on in the game's add-ons.
  2. Choose what to Base conditions on: Points or Time.
  3. With Points, set the game length (Total time), and turn on Finish game if any points goal is reached to end the game at the Points goal. With Time, set the points to Collect points and an optional Time limit.
  4. Under Conditions, add score ranges with From and To. For each range, choose:
    • Win prize and which prize, or
    • the Page to show when no prize is won, and
    • Set as winner, to count the player as a winner in the statistics.
  5. Click Add condition for more ranges.

Example: 0–199 points shows "Try again", 200–499 wins a 10% discount, and 500 or more wins a 25% discount.

Skill games without instant prizes

To reward only the best players, turn off Enable prizes in the game's prize settings and choose a Win page and Lose page. Then add a leaderboard and draw the winners later. See Draw winners.
