Scratcher has more than 40 game formats. They fall into three groups, and the group decides how people win.
Luck games: instant win by chance
Scratchcard, Spin the Wheel, Slot Machine, Mystery Box, Spin and Dice Roll. Everyone has the same chance, and the result is shown right away. They are quick to play and great for collecting many sign-ups, giving discount codes and running popups on a webshop. See Scratch cards, wheels and other luck games.
Skill games: points and time
Catch Objects (Drop), Hit the Target, Puzzle, Memory Match, Tap It, Smash It, Match Matrix and Bubble Shooter. Players score points or race the clock. You decide what score wins a prize, or you rank everyone on a leaderboard. They keep people engaged for longer and work well for competitions. See Skill games: drop, memory, puzzle and more.
Knowledge and interactive formats
Quizzes, personality tests, product recommendations, polls, surveys, votes and ratings. They are great for getting to know your customers and recommending the right products. See Quizzes and personality tests and Polls, surveys, votes and product finders.
Calendars and special formats
These formats need the Special formats add-on, or a plan that includes it.
- Advent Calendar, Christmas Calendar and Calendar open a new door each day. See Advent and Christmas calendars, Every calendar setting explained, The advanced calendar and Calendar problems and how to fix them.
- Leaderboard ranks players by points or time. See Leaderboards.
- Score lets fans predict match results. See Score predictions.
- Lucky Number lets people enter a code from packaging or a receipt. See Lucky number.
- Countdown and Pre-registration build excitement before the start. See Countdowns, pre-registration and campaign ended pages.
- Interactive graphic turns a picture into clickable spots. See Interactive graphic.
Which one fits my goal?
- Many new newsletter sign-ups: a scratch card or wheel of fortune as a popup on your website.
- Sell more: a luck game with discount codes as prizes.
- Learn about your customers: a personality test or product recommendation quiz.
- People coming back every day: a calendar, or a skill game with a leaderboard.
- A competition with a big prize: any game with a draw after the campaign ends.
Games on your plan
Some games are part of higher plans. If a game is locked, you see an upgrade note in the template list or when you insert it. See Your trial, plans and what happens when the trial ends.
