Quiz results, branching and calculations

Set up result ranges and result pages, give drawing tickets for results, show different questions with groups, and calculate values.

Results

Under Results, click Add result, then click the result to edit it:

  • Title and Internal name (not required).
  • The range that gives this result: Correct answers from–to in a knowledge quiz, or Points from–to in a personality test.
  • Content: the text of the result.
  • Image (on Settings): an image for the result.
  • Drawing tickets: how many drawing tickets this result gives, if you use draw tickets.
  • Result page type: Built-in page, Existing page (choose a page in your flow) or Custom page (a page you design for this result, opened with Show custom page).

For product recommendations, Show when no products are recommended decides which result shows if no product matches.

Polls, votes, surveys, swipe games, battles and calculators have one fixed result, so you can't add results there.

Branching with groups

The add-on Enable groups lets you show different questions to different people.

  1. Turn on Enable groups in the quiz's add-ons.
  2. Click Add group and give it a Name. Move questions into the group.
  3. Choose where each answer leads: on the answer, set Go to group.

For more control, turn on Use advanced conditions on a group. Then the group is shown when the conditions match: each condition is a Question and one or more Answer choices. Conditions in the same condition group must all be true; it is enough that one of the condition groups is true.

Calculator

The quiz type Calculator calculates a value from the answers, for example a price, savings or a score.

  1. Set Quiz type to Calculator. Each answer gets a Value.
  2. Under Calculations, click Add calculation.
  3. Build the calculation by dragging questions, other calculations, operators (+ − × /) and a Custom value into place. Or turn on Use advanced calculator and write a formula. You can use ceil, floor, round, log and sqrt.
  4. Turn on Formatting to add a Prefix or Suffix, such as € or "kg".
  5. Copy the Dynamic tag (use on result page) and paste it into the result page to show the result.

Result page types explained

  • Built-in page: "This uses the built-in page".
  • Existing page: "This re-uses an existing page from the flow". Choose it under Select existing page.
  • Custom page: "This creates a page outside the flow you can use for the result page".

Calculations panel

Calculations (number) lists the calculations, with Calculation actions to edit or delete. In the calculation builder, drag a part to Drag here to delete to remove it. In advanced mode, "Valid functions are: ceil, floor, round, log, and sqrt". Click Copy dynamic tag to copy the tag for the result page.
