Score predictions for football and other sports # Score predictions for football and other sports Let fans guess the results of matches, set deadlines and points, enter the real results, rank fans on a leaderboard and draw the winners. In the **Score** game, fans guess the result of one or more matches before kick-off. When the matches have been played, you enter the real results, Scratcher gives points for correct guesses, and you draw the winners. ## Set up a prediction game step by step 1. Add the **Score** game to a page. 2. On the **Content** tab, under **Teams**, click **Add team**. Give the team a **Name** and a **Logo**. Repeat for every team. 3. Under **Matches**, click **Add match**. Choose **Team one** and **Team two**. You can add an **Internal name (not required)**. 4. Set the **Submission deadline**: - **Single deadline**: one **Deadline** for all matches. Choose the **Page to show when past deadline**. - **Deadline per match**: each match gets its own deadline. Matches past their deadline are greyed out with the **Inactive match overlay color**. 5. Choose the **Action after submit**: the page fans see after sending their guesses. 6. Turn on the **Leaderboard** add-on and set the points: **Correct result points** for the exact score, and **Correct winner/tie points** for the right winner or a draw. 7. Add a form, so you know who guessed what. 8. Add a draw prize. See [Draw winners](https://scratcher.io/help/prizes/draw-winners). ## Styles On the **Styles** tab: the **Gap between matches**, the **Inactive match overlay color**, the teams (**Team size**, **Team name** color and **Logo size**) and the score fields (**Input size**, **Input background**, **Input text**, **Input placeholder**, **Input border** and **Input shape**). ## Enter the results 1. When a match has been played, open the campaign's **Game data** tab. 2. Under **Match results**, type the score for **Team one** and **Team two**. 3. Click **Save**. Fans with a correct guess get their points. The **Game data** tab also shows how fans guessed each match (**Match result guesses**). > **Good to know:** Check the result before you click **Save**. Points for a match are given once. If you save a wrong result and correct it later, points that were already given don't change. ## Rank fans and draw the winners - Add a [leaderboard](https://scratcher.io/help/games/leaderboards-and-predictions) with the **Measured attribute** **Points**, the Score game under **Games**, and **Sum values (instead of using max value)** turned on, so points from all matches add up. - To draw winners, open the campaign's **Prizes** tab. Under **Draw prizes**, click **View details** on the prize. After the deadline, set **Find number of winners:** and **Minimum correct answers:**, click **Check** to see the **Potential winners:**, and click **Draw winner**. ## Common problems - **Fans can't submit.** The deadline has passed. Check the **Deadline** (or each match's deadline) and its time. - **The draw is greyed out.** You can draw only after the deadline. Before that, you see "The game is open for participants until …". - **"Not enough potential winners."** Lower the **Minimum correct answers:** or the number of winners. - **Nobody gets points.** Enter and save the results on the **Game data** tab, and check that the **Leaderboard** add-on has points set. - **A fan is missing from the leaderboard.** Only fans who filled in the form are counted.
