Connect Drip

With the Drip integration, everyone who signs up is created or updated as a subscriber in Drip.

What you need

• A Drip account and a Drip user with access to it. You don't need an API key. You log in to Drip and allow the access.

Step 1: Connect Drip

1. In Scratcher, go to Settings > Integrations and click Drip.
2. Click Install integration. You are sent to Drip.
3. Log in to Drip and click to authorize Scratcher.
4. You come back to Scratcher, and Drip is installed.

Drip gives Scratcher access through its own login, so there are no permissions to choose. Scratcher only reads your Drip accounts and custom fields, and creates or updates subscribers.

Step 2: Turn it on in a campaign

1. In the editor, go to Connect > Integrations > Drip and click Activate.
2. If you have connected more than one Drip login, choose it under Select account.
3. Under External list, choose the Drip account that should receive the subscribers. If your Drip user has access to several Drip accounts, they are all listed.
4. Under Field mappings, match each Scratcher field to a Drip custom field, or to the address fields Address 1, Address 2, Zip, City, State and Country.
5. Under Filter by permissions (optional), choose your marketing consent checkbox.
6. Click Save, and then Test.

Field mapping

• The email address is always sent. The phone number is sent to the custom field "phone".
• The Destination field list shows the custom fields that exist in the Drip account. Create a custom field in Drip first if it's missing.

What is sent and when

New sign-ups are sent within a minute or two, and existing leads are sent when you activate it. When someone takes part again, the subscriber is updated. Use Drip's workflows to send a welcome email when new subscribers arrive.

Troubleshooting

• The connection stops working: the Drip user who connected Scratcher was removed or the access was revoked in Drip. Delete the account on the Accounts tab and connect Drip again.
• Only send people who gave consent: use Filter by permissions, so you don't add people who didn't say yes.
