With the Emarketeer integration, everyone who signs up is created or updated as a contact in Emarketeer and added to the list you choose.
What you need
- An Emarketeer account, and a user who can create API keys (usually an administrator).
Step 1: Create an API key in Emarketeer
- Log in to Emarketeer.
- Open the settings and find the API keys.
- Create a new key, give it a name you recognise, for example "Scratcher", and copy it.
Scratcher uses the key to read your lists and custom fields, and to create and update contacts and add them to lists. If Emarketeer lets you limit the key, allow those.
Step 2: Connect Emarketeer to Scratcher
- In Scratcher, go to Settings > Integrations and click Emarketeer.
- Paste the key in Api Key.
- Click Install integration. Scratcher checks that it can read your custom fields.
Step 3: Turn it on in a campaign
- In the editor, go to Connect > Integrations > Emarketeer and click Activate.
- If you have connected more than one account, choose it under Select account.
- Under External list, choose the list.
- Under Field mappings, match each Scratcher field to an Emarketeer field.
- Under Filter by permissions (optional), choose your marketing consent checkbox.
- Click Save, and then Test.
Field mapping
- Email and phone are sent automatically.
- You can map to Emarketeer's standard fields (First name, Last name, Salutation, Company, Title, Phone, Mobile Phone, Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zipcode, Fax, External ID and Note) and to all your custom fields.
What is sent and when
New sign-ups are sent within a minute or two, and existing leads are sent when you activate it. The contact is created or updated, then added to the list.
Troubleshooting
- "All or some of the fields are invalid..." when installing: copy the key again.
- Deliveries fail after it worked: the key was deleted in Emarketeer. Create a new one and connect it with Add new account.
