Connect Marketingplatform # Connect Marketingplatform Find your API username and token in Marketingplatform, connect them, and add new sign-ups to a list with your custom fields. With the Marketingplatform integration, everyone who signs up is added as a subscriber to the Marketingplatform list you choose. If they are already on the list, their data fields are updated. ## What you need - A Marketingplatform account with API access, and a user who can see the API settings. ## Step 1: Find your API details in Marketingplatform 1. Log in to Marketingplatform. 2. Open the settings and find the API section. 3. Copy the **API username**, and create or copy an **API token**. The username and token give access to the account, so there are no permissions to choose. Scratcher reads your lists and data fields, and adds and updates subscribers. ## Step 2: Connect Marketingplatform to Scratcher 1. In Scratcher, go to **Settings** > **Integrations** and click **Marketingplatform**. 2. Fill in the **API username** and **API token**. 3. Click **Install integration**. Scratcher checks that it can read your lists. ## Step 3: Turn it on in a campaign 1. In the editor, go to **Connect** > **Integrations** > **Marketingplatform** and click **Activate**. 2. If you have connected more than one account, choose it under **Select account**. 3. Under **External list**, choose the list. 4. Under **Field mappings**, match each **Scratcher field** to a data field on the list, including your custom fields. 5. Under **Filter by permissions (optional)**, choose your marketing consent checkbox. 6. Click **Save**, and then **Test**. ## Field mapping - The email address and the mobile number (with country code) are sent automatically. If a person has no email address, they are added with their mobile number. - The list's **Country** field can't be mapped. - Empty values don't overwrite existing data when a subscriber is updated. ## Consent New subscribers are added as confirmed, and start any autoresponders on the list. If someone was deleted from the list earlier for privacy reasons, Scratcher subscribes them again. So only send people who gave consent: use **Filter by permissions (optional)** with your marketing checkbox. ## What is sent and when New sign-ups are sent within a minute or two, and existing leads are sent when you activate it. ## Troubleshooting - "Email or domain is banned": Marketingplatform blocks this address or domain. It can't be added. - "All or some of the fields are invalid..." when installing: check the username and token. - Deliveries fail with a message about data fields: the list has no data fields, or a mapped field was deleted.
