You connect Scratcher to monday.com through Zapier. A Zap takes every new lead or winner from your Scratcher campaign and creates an item on a monday.com board. Use it, for example, to follow up on leads, or to track prize shipping.
What you need
- A Zapier account. The free plan works for a simple Zap.
- A monday.com user who is a member of the board with permission to add items. Viewers and guests with read-only access can't.
- Some monday.com accounts limit who may use integrations. If you can't connect, ask your monday.com admin.
- A board with columns for the data, for example an Email column, a Phone column and text or date columns.
- A Scratcher plan with integrations, and a campaign with at least one lead to test with.
Step 1: Connect Scratcher to Zapier
If you haven't done it yet, follow Connect 8,000+ apps with Zapier: in Scratcher go to Settings > Integrations > Zapier and click Set up on Zapier.
Step 2: Set up the trigger
- In Zapier, click Create and choose Zaps.
- As the trigger, choose Scratcher and the trigger for new leads.
- Connect your Scratcher account, choose the campaign and click Test trigger.
Step 3: Add the monday.com action
- Add the action step and choose monday.com.
- As the action event, choose the one that creates an item.
- Connect your account: log in to monday.com and click Authorize.
- Choose the Board and the Group the items should go into.
Step 4: Map the fields
- Item Name: for example the person's name, or the email address.
- Each column on the board shows as a field. Map the email to the Email column, the phone to the Phone column, and the sign-up date to a Date column.
- To track prizes, map the prize name and coupon code to text columns.
- Status and dropdown columns need a value that already exists on the board.
Step 5: Test and publish
- Click Test step, and check the new item on the board. Delete it afterwards.
- Click Publish to turn the Zap on.
Only create items for some leads
Add a Filter by Zapier step after the trigger (a paid Zapier plan). For example, only continue when a prize name exists, to get an item for winners only, or when your marketing permission is true.
Troubleshooting
- Look at the Zap history in Zapier for each run and monday.com's error message.
- A column is missing in Zapier: add it on the board, then click Refresh fields in the Zap.
- "User unauthorized": the user who connected Zapier was removed from the board, or can't add items. Reconnect with a board member.
