With the Peytz integration, everyone who signs up is subscribed to the Peytz mailing list you choose.
What you need
- A Peytz Mail account and an API key. Your contact at Peytz can help you get one.
- Your Client Name: the first part of your Peytz Mail address. If you log in at
yourname.peytzmail.com, the client name is "yourname". It may only contain letters, numbers, dashes and underscores.
Step 1: Get an API key in Peytz Mail
- Log in to Peytz Mail.
- Open your user or account settings and find the API key. If you can't find it, ask your contact at Peytz for one.
- Copy the key.
The key gives access to your mailing lists and subscribers, so there are no permissions to choose. Scratcher reads your mailing lists and subscribes people.
Step 2: Connect Peytz to Scratcher
- In Scratcher, go to Settings > Integrations and click Peytz.
- Fill in the Client Name and Api Key.
- Click Install integration. Scratcher checks that it can read your mailing lists.
Step 3: Turn it on in a campaign
- In the editor, go to Connect > Integrations > Peytz and click Activate.
- If you have connected more than one account, choose it under Select account.
- Under External list, choose the mailing list.
- Under Field mappings, match each Scratcher field to a Peytz field: First name, Last name, Email, Gender or City.
- Under Tags, "Enter the tags to assign to the subscriber", separated by commas, for example "summer-game, scratcher".
- Choose whether Peytz should send its own emails:
- Skip confirm?: don't send Peytz's confirmation email. Use this if you already use double opt-in in Scratcher. See Set up double opt-in.
- Skip welcome?: don't send Peytz's welcome email.
- Under Filter by permissions (optional), choose your marketing consent checkbox.
- Click Save, and then Test.
Field mapping
The email address is always sent. Map the other fields you want, for example "Lead - First name" to First name.
What is sent and when
New sign-ups are sent within a minute or two, and existing leads are sent when you activate it. Unless you tick Skip confirm?, Peytz sends its own confirmation email to new subscribers.
Troubleshooting
- "All or some of the fields are invalid..." when installing: check the client name (just the first part of the address, no "https" or ".peytzmail.com") and the key.
- People don't get the welcome email: check that Skip welcome? isn't ticked.
