Besides each campaign's own dashboard, you have the overall Dashboard with all your campaigns, and you can build your own dashboards.
Build your own dashboard
Custom dashboards are part of the Professional plan, or the Customizable dashboards add-on. You need a role that may edit dashboards.
- Click Dashboard in the top bar.
- Click Create dashboard.
- Give it a Name, for example "Christmas campaigns".
- Under Campaigns, choose the campaigns to include under Select campaigns, or turn on Use all.
- Under Popups, do the same with Select popups, or turn on Use all.
- Click Create.
- Click Add widget to add your first chart.
"Combine campaigns or popups into a single view." The numbers of all chosen campaigns are added together. With Use all, campaigns you create later are included automatically.
To change the name or the campaigns later, open the dashboard's Actions menu and click Edit ("Rename this dashboard or change what it tracks."), then Save.
The overall dashboard
Dashboard in the top bar first shows the Global overview: all your campaigns together, by default for the last six months. You see:
- Views, Participants and Leads, with the totals and conversion rates. Hover the percentage to see how it's calculated: "Participants ÷ interactions for the selected period" and "Leads ÷ interactions for the selected period".
- A world map with views per country.
- Performance over time: views, participants and leads, day by day.
- Devices: views by desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Channels: views, participants and leads per channel.
Use the period picker to change the period. This overview can't be changed. To choose your own charts, make a custom dashboard.
Find your dashboards
Use the search field (Search dashboards…) next to the period picker to find and open a dashboard. If nothing matches, it says No dashboards found.
Click the star (Add to favorites) next to a dashboard to pin it. Favourites appear at the top of the list, and as quick tabs next to the search field on large screens. Click Remove from favorites to unpin it.
Add a widget
- On your dashboard, click Add widget ("Pick a chart type and the data to visualize.").
- Choose the Chart type. A short text tells you what each type is good for.
- Under X-axis, choose what to group by, under Select data type. The X-axis is "the dimension to group your data by, e.g. date, country, or device".
- Under Y-axis, choose the number to show. The Y-axis is "the metric to measure".
- Optional: click Add another y-axis to show more numbers in the same chart, for example Views and Leads by date.
- Check the Title. Scratcher suggests one, such as "Leads by Date". Type your own if you like.
- Pick a Color for each number.
- Click Add chart.
On an empty dashboard, it says Add your first widget ("Track a metric, chart, or goal on this dashboard."), with quick picks for Number, Bar chart and Table.
Chart types
- Number: one key number, such as total views this month.
- Bar chart: compare a number across a few categories, such as views by device.
- Line chart: see how a number changes over time.
- Pie chart and Donut chart: how a number splits into parts of a whole, such as traffic by channel.
- Table: exact values in rows and columns.
- Funnel: how numbers drop off step by step, such as views → interactions → participants.
- Leaderboard: rank entries from highest to lowest, such as top prizes by redemptions.
- Map: a number per country on a world map.
For Number and Funnel there is no X-axis: you only pick the Data. Map always groups by country.
You can add more than one Y-axis to bar charts, line charts, tables and funnels. Number, pie, donut, leaderboard and map widgets show one number. Pie, donut and table widgets don't have a color choice.
What you can show
X-axis options:
- Date, Channel, Device and Country.
- Total: one total for the whole period.
- Events: the clicks you track on buttons.
- Interaction amount: how many people took part once, twice and so on.
- Prize: per prize.
- Email: per campaign email.
Y-axis options depend on the X-axis. By date, you can show almost everything: Views, Interactions, Bounced interactions, Bounced interactions rate, Participants, Leads, Interaction conversion, Participant conversion, Confirmed leads, Recurring participants, New participants, Existing participants, Action data, Game completions, Prizes won, No prize, Win rate, Prizes redeemed, Unique prizes redeemed, Prizes expired, Redemption rate, and the email numbers (Emails sent, Emails opened, Emails clicked, Emails bounced, Emails unsubscribed, Email open rate and Email click rate).
- By channel, device or country: views, interactions, participants, leads, conversions, bounced interactions and game completions.
- By prize: Prizes won, Prizes redeemed, Unique prizes redeemed, Prizes expired, Redemption rate, Total prizes, Remaining prizes and Win rate.
- By email: the email numbers and rates.
- As a Total: all of the above, plus Total engagement time and Avg engagement time.
If a number can't be measured for the chosen campaigns, the widget shows Not tracked. With no data in the period, it says "No data for this period yet." All numbers are explained in What the numbers mean.
Arrange and edit widgets
- Drag a widget to move it, and pull its corner to resize it. This works on a computer, not on a phone or tablet.
- Double-click a widget's title to rename it ("Double click to edit").
- Each widget's menu has Edit (opens Edit widget, save with Update chart), Rename, Duplicate and Delete.
- The period picker at the top applies to all widgets.
A custom dashboard for one campaign
- Open the campaign's dashboard.
- Open the Actions menu and click Add custom dashboard.
- Click Add widget and build it like above.
You then find it on the campaign's Custom dashboard tab.
Share a dashboard
- Open the dashboard's Actions menu and click Share.
- In Share dashboard ("Invite others to view this dashboard."), go to Invite with link and click Copy. "Anyone with this link can view the dashboard."
- Or, under Invite by email, type the addresses under Enter one or more email addresses, and click Send invite. "They'll receive an email with a link to view the dashboard."
People with the link don't need to log in, and can't change anything. They can choose the period and switch between light and dark mode. The shared page refreshes itself every 15 minutes.
To stop a link from working, click Reset link and confirm in Reset share link?. The old link stops working immediately ("The share link has been regenerated. The previous link no longer works."), and you get a new one.
Sharing is part of the Basic plan and up. To share a campaign's own dashboard, see Your campaign dashboard.
Good to know: anyone who gets the link can see the numbers. Reset the link when a project with a client ends.
Delete a dashboard
Open the dashboard's Actions menu, click Delete and confirm Delete dashboard. A deleted widget or dashboard can't be restored. To make another dashboard, click Create new in the same menu.
