# Send emails from your own domain

Add your own sender address, such as news@yourbrand.com, and verify it with DNS records.

By default, campaign emails are sent by Scratcher with your account name as sender. To send from your own address, such as news@yourbrand.com, add an email domain. This is part of the **Email sender** add-on, or plans that include it.

## Add your domain

1. Go to **Settings** > **Data & access** and find **Email domains** ("Add new sending email domains").
2. Click **Add new**. The dialog **Create email domain** opens.
3. Enter the full **Email address** you want to send from and click **Create**.
4. You get a table of DNS records with **Type**, **Host** and **Points to**:
    - an **SPF** record and a **DKIM** record, which are needed
    - a **CNAME** record: "The CNAME record is only needed if you want to track opens and clicks"
5. Copy each value with the copy buttons (**Copy SPF host**, **Copy SPF record**, **Copy DKIM host**, **Copy DKIM record**, **Copy CNAME host** and **Copy CNAME record**), and add the records where your domain is managed, for example at your web host. Ask your IT team if you are not sure.
6. Click **Verify now**. When the records are found, the domain changes from **Unverified** to **Verified**.

DNS changes can take some hours to work. If you don't have the DNS details at hand, click **Skip and get notified** to close the records for now, and come back later to click **Verify now**. Domains that aren't verified within 30 days are removed, and you can add them again.

## Manage your domains

Each domain in the list shows whether it is **Verified** or **Unverified**. Click **Expand details** to see its DNS records again, and **Delete** to remove it.

## Use the domain
