How a reel game campaign works
A reel game campaign is fast from start to finish. People open your campaign and fill in a short form. Then they tap to start, and a column of pictures starts scrolling past. After a few seconds, the reel slows down and stops on one picture. That picture is their prize.
You build the reel in the editor. Upload a picture for each prize — products, tickets or discount badges — and add a background. You can change the size of the reel and of each picture, and the spacing between them.
As with all our luck games, you decide which prizes can be won, how many of each there are and when they can be won. Winners see their prize right away and can get it by email too (with the Email module, included on Professional or as an add-on), and every sign-up is sent to your email tool through our integrations.
When to use a reel game
The reel game is a good fit when you want a short game with a strong visual moment:
- Webshops: show a range of products on the reel and give away one of them.
- Food and drink: spin through menu items and daily deals.
- Events and entertainment: spin through tickets, artists or merchandise before the big reveal.
- Pop-ups: a quick game that doesn't keep people from shopping for long.
- Product launches: let people see a new range while they play.
Because people see many pictures fly past before the reel stops, the reel game is also a gentle way to introduce your range. Even people who do not win have seen a handful of your products in a few seconds.
What is the difference from the slot machine? In a slot machine, people need three matching symbols in a row to win. In the reel game, the reel simply stops on one prize, so the result is easier to read. If your goal is mainly to grow your list, see our page on lead generation.

Tips for a reel game that converts
Tip #1: Use strong, clear pictures
The reel moves fast, so pictures need to be easy to recognise.
- Use product photos on a clean background.
- Keep text on the pictures to a minimum.
- Test the reel on your own phone before you go live.
Tip #2: Pick the right game for the place
- One reel is calm and clear — great for pop-ups.
- Want three reels and more movement? The slot machine is great for landing pages.
- Not sure? Start with the reel, look at the results and try the slot machine in your next campaign.
Tip #3: Make the prizes worth waiting for
- Mix a few big prizes with many small ones.
- Give everyone a discount code as a consolation prize.
- Set limits in prizes, so you never give away too much.
Tip #4: Put it in front of the right people
- Show it as a pop-up on your webshop.
- Send it to your newsletter and share it on social media.
- Use a QR code on posters and packaging in your store.
Tip #5: Follow up after the spin
- Send a welcome email with the prize and a clear next step.
- Remind winners to use their code before it runs out.
- Show the products from the reel in your follow-up email, so people can buy the one they hoped to win.
- Check your analytics to see how many people played and signed up.
